Standard Specifications:
The manufacturer of LANO-E gloves,
N.S. UniGloves Sdn. Bhd., is an SMG registered and approved Malaysian manufacturer. SMG (Standard Malaysian Glove)
standards were developed in consultation with regulatory and standards authorities such as the U.S Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ATSM). SMG standards exceed those of both
of these authorities as is shown below.
|
|
|
|
Ensuring Barrier Protection:
SMG labeled gloves must meet
the prescribed standards for the 1000ml water leak test that is the internationally recognized standard for barrier
performance. In addition, high strength and elasticity are important to minimize the possiblity that gloves will
rupture or tear under in-use stress conditions. These characteristics are measured on the basis of tensile strength
and elongation at break. The requirements under the SMG are not only within the specifications set by the ASTM
but are more stringent as shown here:

Minimizing Protein Sensitization:
Research indicates that certain
extractable proteins remain in latex gloves after manufacturing and could cause allergic reations. In high protein
content gloves, the powder can also act as a carrier of such proteins. SMG and the FDA have established standards
designed to reduce both protein and powder content to as low levels as possible as shown below:

Enhanced barrier protection is assured
by strict compliance to the most stringent worldwide manufacturing standards including:

Our new Lano-E examination gloves meet or exceed these most exacting worldwide standards for barrier protection,
strength, comfort and low protein to minimize the risk of latex protein allergy.
LANO-E is an FDA 510(k) approved product.
